Ghatsila has its diversity with dams, falls, rivers, forest, mountains, valley and the scenes are breathtaking especially at sunset. Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay was a Bengali novelist and writer. He was so fascinated with Ghatshila that he built a red tiled house for himself 'Gouri Kunj' - named after his wife.

Visitor Information

  • PETS allowed on condition in Private Hotel/Resort except Govt. Accommodation (JTDCL / Forest) and you should pay if any damages incurred to the furniture and fixture of the unit by your PETS.
  • Please carry Binoculars (for animals and landscapes), Specific/Emergency Medicines and wear Sports Shoes/Snicker.
  • Do not enter into the forest without permission and do not destroy/disturb the birds, wildlife and taking photographs of Elephant is not safe for you. Do not throw anything undesirable including plastic bags, bottles, garbage and Consumption of ALCOHOL is strictly prohibited inside the Tourist Places and during your Tour.
  • Please follow the DOs and DON'Ts before entering into Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary and Other Protected Areas. Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary Time: 10.00 AM - 05.00 PM (Everyday)
  • Due to breakdown of the vehicle (till repairing / backup arrangement) or any other cause/unforeseen circumstances during the journey, the tour may be delayed or itinerary may be changed.
  • Do report about offences/offenders and strange events to Forest/Police officials and assisting them.
  • Keep Destination and Environment clean and green.
